Nashville, TN (PRWEB) May 26, 2011 ... Grouptune (http://www.grouptune.com), a first-of-its-kind group-buying platform, launched on May 17, 2011 offering fans amazing deals on the best Christian music. Grouptune’s inaugural ‘deal’ is a free 10-song sampler featuring music from top Christian artists like Natalie Grant, Israel Houghton, Aaron Shust, Chris Sligh, Lecrae, Plumb and others.
Grouptune offers email subscribers at least one deeply discounted or exclusive deal on Christian music or related products/experiences each week.
"Similar to the way Groupon and other 'daily deal' services connect local merchants with customers, Grouptune aims to connect Christian artists with current and potential fans," says Matt Shamus, Grouptune Founder & CEO. “We provide artists a free platform to reach highly engaged fans, while offering those fans unbeatable deals on music they truly love."
Grouptune has seen an overwhelming response from fans with several thousand participating in the company’s inaugural deal. Artists and record labels are constantly seeking high exposure, low cost avenues to reach fans, and many see Grouptune as a perfect solution. Greg Lucid, President of Lucid Artist says, “We’re excited to offer exclusive deals to fans via Grouptune and look forward to several of our artists being featured throughout the year.”
Grouptune deals may include digital downloads, autographed CDs, limited edition merchandise, concert tickets and more. While Grouptune is currently focused on Christian music, the company plans to expand into other genres later this year.
